What kind of advice can you give your clients for their property? Active listings, prospective listings, homes to be appraised for a home equity and even our every day homes that will not be open to a professional to inspect can all benefit from a few tips.

Here are a few quick tips to keep in mind when changing seasons and storing seasonal goodies:

Making sure areas have proper access

  • Make sure attic, basement and crawl spaces are clear for possible inspection, to access for repairs or so they have proper ventilation
  • Clear stairs, driveways and walkways of leaves, snow or ice so that garages or other buildings can be safely and easily accessed by Realtors, Appraisers, prospective buyers or even emergency personnel
  • Don’t overstuff seasonal items into areas where they could effect access to electric panels, heating vents or emergency exits
